TJ and I have embarked on a challenging journey towards parenthood, facing significant hurdles along the way. After a year and a half of hopeful attempts to conceive, we were met with the sobering diagnosis that we both have fertility issues.

 

I have been diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), while TJ has also encountered various complications. This double blow has left us with no choice but to turn to In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) as our only viable path to parenthood.

 

Throughout the months of trying to conceive, we have also been navigating significant life transitions. We graduated from college in Utah and moved across the country to embark on our first "adult" jobs in Cookeville, TN. We have absolutely loved living here and have found amazing friends who have become like family. That being said, it can be difficult to be so far away from our parents during such a critical time. Not to mention the daunting cost of IVF, sperm retrieval, and necessary medications, has placed a heavy strain on our resources.
